Entry is by invitation.

The Conker Cup is invitational. Applying registers interest; it is not a guaranteed place. There are no qualifying rounds and no ranking points. After applications close, the organisers extend invitations from applicants, alongside automatic invitations for winners of the sport's other Majors: Peckham Conker Club, Annapolis Conker Club and the World Conker Championships.

Straight knockout.

The tournament is played as a straight knockout, with optional practice rounds for entrants who want them.
